Poderi Gianni Gagliardo
Ever since 1847, the Colla family has worked its vineyards in an excellent area, Piedmont’s Langhe zone. In the early years of the new millennium, the sixth generation of the family gradually began to work for the house. Stefano, Alberto, and Paolo, the sons of Gianni Gagliardo.
Considered by experts in the field to be true specialists in Nebbiolo, the noble grape Variety which is utilised for the production of Barolo, the Gagliardo family has distinguished itself by the wide range of different vineyard parcels planted to this grape, which in each and every individual site shows and expresses a noble, but differing, personality.
The management of the vineyards is based on balance and on the maximum respect of the vines and the soil.
The watchful presence of the family during all the various phases of the winemaking is a constant. This human intervention is fundamental: the perfection of what the vineyard has offered is the work of man. Stefano Gagliardo, together with his brother Alberto, oenologist Daniele Benevello and agronomist Federico Curtaz, is in charge of the search for style in the wines. The results which have been achieved have deserved the praise of the world’s maximum experts.
Providing a quality time to people… with nothing but a true and restless effort towards excellence: this is the spirit, the inspiration behind every single wine of the Gianni Gagliardo estate.
